Una Voz (One Voice) is a program run by Latinx community members designed to celebrate the history, culture and contributions of the Latinx community in the Mt. Hood area.
We believe lifting Latinx voices elevates the entire mountain community, and uniting all our voices strengthens the community and recognizes the amazing contributions made by the region’s Latinx members.
Una Voz encourages students to use their voice to tell their stories, and the stories of their family and community through creative expression. In our primarily non-Latinx community, having a space to share such stories is critical for cultural awareness, self-esteem and community building. We believe the community is ready for this, and just needs the program’s tools, resources, platform and space to share their Voz.
