Annual Report

Gratitude from our President

To nuestra comunidad,

Mt. Hood Unida celebrated its second anniversary this year, and we look forward to our third milestone in June 2024. For the many blessings of this past year and all to come this year, I feel grateful!

In particular, I am grateful for you - our community, volunteers, Una Voz students and families, and funders. Thank you for being the spirit and inspiration for Mt. Hood Unida. Every day, I feel gratitude for your presence at our events, for your support in words and actions, and for giving enthusiasm, time and funds. We also appreciate that you take time to tell us what events you’d like to celebrate and how you’d like to honor our heritage, culture and community.

I also feel grateful for my family. To my husband, kids, parents, siblings and aunts and uncles - thank you for supporting me and this organization. I love you all!

I hope you felt our love and gratitude for Latino culture and identity this year. We took our annual events - Dia de Las Madres, Dia de Independencia and Dia de Los Muertos - to new heights with more attendees, new and delicious food offerings, and more resources and support from community partners. We also raised new funds from the generous Dr. Martens Foundation to help us offer a variety of activities and outings for students in the Una Voz program.

As we head into 2024, I look forward to brainstorming new ways to serve this Latino community and to expanding our group of dedicated volunteers. Gracias por el 2023, y muchas bendiciones en el 2024.
